Description

The Parts Manager will assist in obtaining an accurate A+ process and make sure correct parts of the desired quality are delivered in the time required to facilitate expedient cycle times and overall customer satisfaction. The Parts Manager’s responsibilities are to verify all pricing for the A+ Repair Planner, order parts, mirror match the parts to the originals, process invoices, returns and follow up on parts orders and any credits owed to us. All invoices will be billed out in our current parts management system.  The Parts Manager must be effective at negotiating in order to ensure the best gross profit for the company without jeopardizing cycle time or quality. They must maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following):

  • Comply with all safety and OSHA procedures and requirements
  • Perform shop safety inspections
  • Maintain a courteous and polite attitude with our customers and vendors
  • Participate in morning meetings with current information on parts and sublet statuses
  • Keep parts area neat, clean and organized at all times
  • Order parts from vendors that have proven reliable with our company
  • Upon receipt of a parts order/estimate, order parts where the best discount or referral relationship applies to ensure correct parts will be here when vehicle arrives
  • Document all order information, invoices, returns and credits in Nexconnex.
  • Ensure all credits are kept to minimum. Credits should be received within 30 days
  • Coordinate in conjunction with the A+ Repair Planner on all sublet work
  • Keep original invoices attached to corresponding estimate until job is completed
  • Check all parts orders to verify that the order is accurate and complete
  • Any part or sublet price differences from the estimate should be documented in Nexconnex and given to the proper A+ Repair Planner for any necessary changes
  • Check in all parts for damage, if needed, contact the appropriate vendor immediately
  • Negotiate any damaged parts with vendors if repair time is needed
  • Upon receipt of parts, mirror match to original part or vehicle to ensure part is correct
  • When necessary, issue all parts to the appropriate body/paint technician
  • All parts should be labeled with customer’s last name and properly stored until needed

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years preferred, but not required
