Description

The Tow Truck Driver is responsible for transporting vehicles from repair shops, residences, accident scenes, tow lots, etc. correctly and safely.  They must have a valid driver’s license with a  clean driving record.  Must have a current Class E license.  They must maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with fellow employees, vendors, customers and insurance adjustors.  They must also practice our core values in all that they do: Honesty and Integrity, Teamwork and Profit Focus.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety and DOT procedures and requirements
  • Perform truck safety inspections
  • Keep employee appearance and tow truck clean to maintain a professional image
  • Safely securing the vehicle to the tow truck
  • Ability to obey traffic laws
  • When towing a vehicle from a location where owner is present, have them sign the proper repair authorization
  • Perform quality checks of any vehicle being delivered via transport to another location or residence
  • Striving to maintain target times in accordance to customer’s expectations
  • When needed, provide customer/vendor the location contact’s phone number
  • Communicate with appropriate people if a tow cannot be completed or it needs to be dispatched to an outside tow company
  • Coordinate tow schedule in conjunction with the Call Center and Locations
  • Invoicing locations promptly for each tow for possible billing to customer or insurance company
  • Positive and professional interaction with fellow employees, vendors, customers and Insurance partners

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years

Desired Skills

  • Towing Experience
  • Valid Class E license
